CBD oil is a natural product obtained by the extraction of cannabidiol, one of the components of the industrial cannabis plant. Unlike THC, cannabidiol is not a psychoactive compound and has no side effects, which explains the interest of scientific research in it.
Its use by a growing number of people is aimed at treating or alleviating a large number of diseases and symptoms.
CBD is often confused with the psychoactive substance THC, which is found in cannabis products available in coffee houses. However, this comparison is completely unjustified. CBD oil and other CBD products are low in THC and therefore CBD will not break you. All CBD ingredients come from nature. Besides, all products are also produced in a completely biological way, without pesticides. It does not create addiction even after prolonged use.
At the moment, no legislation in Oklahoma prohibits the purchase, use or distribution of CBD products, as they do not have a large amount of THC in their composition, which gives an intoxicating effect. Allowed products that contain less than 0.3% THC. Since 2015, there is a law that allows doctors to recommend cannabis oil even to minors, but only if they suffer from epilepsy. Since 2016, a new law has been approved that allows all Oklahoma residents to buy CBD oil to provide medical advice. The list of diseases was also expanded in which, one can prescribe CBD oil such as multiple sclerosis, vomiting, nausea, depression, and even to stimulate appetite and many others.
However, do not forget that any medicine can have side effects, and CBD oil is no exception. Compared to other drugs, the side effects of cannabis are not significant, but you should still consult your doctor.
Oklahoma currently has many retail stores dedicated to the CBD market. There are no specific marijuana dispensaries, but you can search for products in vape shops, head shops, and food stores that sell the oil. You can also purchase via the Internet. There are currently no reports of pending online transactions.
Producers of cannabis oil in Oklahoma are not forbidden to sell CBD oil because of the farm law, which says that any product obtained from industrial hemp can be used and grown. But, this does not apply to sales.
The state does not allow doctors to prescribe drugs to their patients containing CBD, only recommend it. Until medical marijuana is fully put into use, you cannot get a prescription in Oklahoma and you must remember that you make the purchase at your discretion.
To choose the best CBD oil, you must first consider several important criteria: origin, product brand, growing and production procedures. Also, you need to buy CBD oil from a reliable brand and focus on its quality and not on its price, even very low, which is very far from a quality guarantee, but quite the opposite!
There are a lot of ways to use the oil. All depends on your preferences and desirable result.
Ø Drops of CBD oil
CBD oil in drops can be used in several ways: orally, locally or as part of preparation. Effective dosing of the product in the form of drops for oral administration requires knowledge of how much mg corresponds to drops of CBD oil, which depends on its concentration. Once the appropriate dosage is determined according to your problem, you can use CBD oil in several ways.
The most effective way to use CBD oil is sublingual use, which consists of applying drops of the product under the tongue and swallowing it after ten seconds to accelerate its action and absorption. Sublingual absorption is especially effective, but CBD does not taste good, and not everyone supports it.
If CBD’s unpleasant taste doesn’t suit you, you can also mix CBD oil with a drink, yogurt or drip drops of sugar on the product to swallow them, which will make its absorption less unpleasant, but which will inevitably also delay its action and make its assimilation less effective.
CBD oil can also be used to massage tired muscles, patients (osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, arthritis) or inflamed hair by adding a few drops to shampoo or mask or directly to the skin. It can also be used for tired and irritated eyes or diluted with mouthwash to treat mouth ulcers and blisters or to strengthen tooth enamel and gums.
Ø CBD oil capsules
CBD oil is also in the form of fish gelatin capsules and CBD. The benefits of this presentation are obvious:
Ø CBD oil spray or vaper
CBD oil can also be used as a nicotine substitute through vaping. This requires the use of a suitable electronic cigarette. Cannabidiol is then absorbed by the respiratory tract and cells by inhalation of steam. However, this use of CBD oil, even if possible, is still composed of lipids, which cannot be completely ruled out for harmful effects on the lungs in the long run. In addition, for such use, CBD is more appropriate to use in the form of an electron liquid or crystals that are more adapted.
Fiber hemp, from which cannabidiol is made, has a very diverse effect but does not cause a psychoactive reaction. In the meantime, more than ten mechanisms of action are known which can influence the CB 1 receptor, as well as two vanilloid receptors, the glycine receptor and the 5-HT 1A receptor. Furthermore, CBD has an antioxidant effect and may also act on the signaling of adenosine increased.
In particular, the cannabinoids are excellent scavengers of free radicals that they have an antioxidant effect. They can intercept free radicals and thus reduce the oxidative stress significantly. In addition, CBD is a good helper to reduce hydrogen peroxide damage caused by oxidative stress. A study in rats showed that nerve damage could be reduced if CBD and high levels of alcohol were given at the same time. This can be attributed to the antioxidant effect.
Studies on cannabis have been carried out for many decades. It was found that CBD acts on the CB 1 receptor and, for example, can also inhibit the action of THC and thus has an appetite-suppressing effect. For this reason, it is also used, for example, in overweight people to promote weight loss.
Since CBD oil has very diverse modes of action, the substance can also act in opposite directions in the endocannabinoid system. This means that the endocannabinoid anandamide is inhibited from entering the cell and also preventing its breakdown. Thus, the anandamide concentration is increased and clinical studies have shown that an antipsychotic effect can be produced. In this case, the anandamide level in the brain or nervous water is increased and thus can cause an antipsychotic effect in patients suffering from schizophrenia.
Furthermore, CBD has an analgesic effect as the vanilloid receptors 1 and 2 are stimulated. These and especially the vanilloid receptor 1 can be found on the nerve endings. If these are stimulated by the CBD or CBD oil, an analgesic effect may occur. The vanilloid receptor 2, on the other hand, is responsible for autophagy, a form of cell destruction. If it is stimulated by the CBD, certain brain tumor cells can be prevented from reproducing.
Other studies have found that CBD oil can also reduce neuropathic and inflammatory pain. In an experiment on mice that do not have the glycine receptors, this effect could not be detected. This shows the researchers that the CBD act on the glycine receptors that are predominantly present in the nerve cells. Here, the excitability of the nerve cells is reduced and thus the pain can be reduced.
However, CBD oil also acts on adenosine in many ways. For example, adenosine is responsible for blocking messenger substances in the nervous system. This means that the effect of adenosine is increased by the CBD so that dopamine or norepinephrine is inhibited. This implies, conversely, that an anti-inflammatory effect occurs and this can be contained.
What is also known is the fact that CBD oil acts with the 5-HT1A receptor. This serotonin receptor is found in the brain and spinal cord and regulates, among other things, the body temperature. Furthermore, the serotonin receptor also influences the learning processes. When activating this receptor through medication, anxiety, as well as depression and other mental illnesses, will be treated very well. If CBD binds to the serotonin receptor, the same effect is achieved and can, for example, cause an anxiolytic effect.
